SELDTA stands for "Southeast Local District Teachers' Association".  We are an organization of professional teachers who teach for Southeast Local School District in Portage county, Ohio.  As members of SELDTA, we are also members of the Northeastern Ohio Educators' Association (NEOEA), the Ohio Education Association (OEA), and the National Education Association (NEA).  SELDTA was created in order to fulfill seven purposes. 

SELDTA members did an outstanding job responding to the fall Fund for Children and Public Education drive.  The FCPE is the political action committee which advocates for public education.  SELDTA participation increased from 13 members who were donating prior to the drive to 45 members who are now contributing!  SELDTA won a silver medal at the fall OEA representative assembly for this increase in participation!

There was a pizza party reward awaiting the building with the highest percentage of members donating to FCPE, and the high school secured that reward.  Following are the percentages of members in each building who contribute to FCPE:  Primary 45%, Intermediate 4%, Middle 19%, High 61%.
